Adventure Menu Flameless Heater + Zipper Bag

Used together to heat soft canned foods and freeze-dried meals with the correct amount of water added. Flameless heaters are an excellent substitute for a camping stove and/or an open fire and should be used where it is not possible to start a fire—for example, due to a fire ban—or where it is not possible to use a camping stove, such as when you need to keep moving while heating your food. Or simply because it’s an easy and convenient way to let the food heat itself right in the package.

How does the Adventure Menu Flameless Heater work?

The heater is a plastic pouch filled with magnesium, iron powder, and table salt. When a meal pouch is placed inside and water is added, an exothermic reaction occurs that quickly brings the water to a boil to heat the food. About 5 cl of water is needed, and the reaction is immediate. After about 5–10 minutes, the meal is heated. Keep in mind that the water gets very hot and should be handled with care.
